How do I book a tour of The Pines?
Click Book a Tour anywhere on this site and tell us your name, contact information, and desired move-in date — your request goes straight to our leasing team, and we’ll reach out to set a time. Prefer to talk? Call or text (515) 219-4014.
How do I apply, and what does it cost to apply?
Applications are submitted online through the listing on our availability page — click the home you want and choose Apply Now. The application fee is $40 per applicant.
What is the security deposit?
The security deposit is equal to one month’s rent for the home you’re applying for — you’ll see the exact amount on each listing on our availability page. Additional fees, restrictions, and qualifications may apply.
Are pets allowed?
Cats and small dogs are welcome, with restrictions and added pet fees. Ask the leasing team about your pet when you tour.
What comes with every home?
Every home at The Pines includes an in-unit washer and dryer, central air conditioning, a gas fireplace, an attached 1- or 2-car garage, and a private balcony, deck, or patio. Lawn care and snow removal are taken care of for you.
Are all of the homes townhomes?
No — and that's part of what makes The Pines unusual. The outer ring of the neighborhood is two-story townhomes, while the center buildings are generously sized single-level homes, upstairs and down. Every home is 1,360 square feet or larger with an attached garage.
What sizes are the homes, and what do they rent for?
There are four plans: a 2-bed/2-bath at 1,360 sq ft, two 3-bed/2-bath plans at 1,415 and 1,460 sq ft, and a 3-bed/2.5-bath at 1,800 sq ft. Homes currently listed rent from $1,575 to $1,795 per month; see the availability page for what’s open right now.
Who manages The Pines?
The Pines is professionally managed by Kouri Management Corporation, with on-call maintenance. Residents pay rent and submit maintenance requests through the online resident portal.
What if nothing is available when I look?
That’s normal here — with 53 homes and neighbors who stay, openings are limited. Book a tour or call (515) 219-4014 and we’ll put you on the wait list; you’ll hear about the next opening before it’s posted.
Where is The Pines located?
At 309 NW 18th Street in Ankeny, Iowa — one block off North Ankeny Boulevard, minutes from Prairie Ridge Middle School and Ankeny Centennial High School, with quick access to I-35 and about a 20-minute drive to downtown Des Moines.
