How to apply at The Pines
Three steps: see the homes, pick one, apply online. The fees are listed here in full so there is nothing to find out at the end.
The steps
- Tour. Use Book a Tour anywhere on the site, or call or text (515) 219-4014. Tell us your name, contact details and move-in date and the request goes to the leasing team.
- Pick a home. Open homes are listed live on the availability page with the rent, size and availability date for each.
- Apply online from that listing. Choose Apply Now on the home you want; screening criteria come with the application.
Fees and deposit
- Application fee: $40 per applicant
- Security deposit: equal to one month's rent for the home you choose
- Pets: cats and small dogs are welcome, with restrictions and added pet fees; the leasing team has the current figures for your pet

If nothing is open
If nothing is listed the day you look, ask the leasing team about the wait list and you will hear about the next home before it is posted. After you move in, rent is paid and maintenance is requested through the resident portal. The homes run from 1,360 to 1,800 square feet across four plans, in two and three bedrooms, each with an attached garage, a washer and dryer in the home, central air and a gas fireplace.
